Based on the silly disclaimers on Georgia science textbooks on evolution, I offer this rebuttal. For more details, just visit my website [link] .

THANKS to my friend IAN CONLON for providing the text. I still bought the stickers, printed them out and used my own bible and photographed it and everything.

THANK YOU!!!

i'm glad someone else believes that this is just a book of stories...like the greek mythology.

I can't seem to understand how so many people put so much emphasis on a book written by man...And we all know that man has been prooven to over exert the truth.

This is exatly what this book is...a book of theory. And thats what i view it as. It's a book written by man, to give meaning to the creation, and certain aspects of history that are otherwise misconstrued...walls of jerico anyone?...spelling? Samson?

Jesus?

Too many people put their faith in this book. Calling it the word of God...if it was the word of God, it would have his name on it. Men and one woman wrote this book...and they were blinded. THink about it...OF course Moses would make himself to live almost 1000 years...he wants to be thought of as a god almost...his staff turning into a snake? tried doing that...it's hard to do..i don't think even Houdini could do something like that.

all in all...this image which you hace created has come at a great time. thanks you for showing people exactly waht the bible is...

just a book.

Welp, technically creationism is not a "theory" per se (just a story), but religious zealots these days are doing their best to dumb down the rigorous scientific process for the concept of "theory" to a mere "conjecture."

"Theory" nowadays can be pulled from anybody's ass in modern colloquial, and the church is profiting on society's misuse of the term to playdown evolution.

....and creationism is a better way of explaining life on earth?
:iconmediocremind:
this is very true...but one must take into account that even though it is a story, it is classified as a threory...like evolution...or the alien one...

but to date, this is the only "proof" we have...and people take that WAY to seriously...

This is a great piece of social commentry. Excellent. +fav

I have heard snakes can be hypnotised into becoming like a staff...

On a different matter, scholars have discovered a typo in the early transcriptions, where "Red Sea" should mean "Reed Sea", or swamp. That would have made Charton Hestons role a little less impressive...

This is more like it (creating a strong diagonal). Cut the corners off though didn't you..tsk, tsk, tsk,

I'm a Christian, but not a Bible-thumper. I grew up in the Bible belt (southern Ohio), and had plenty of experience with the "fundies" as we called them. However, the fact remains that the theory of evolution IS a theory.

A hypothesis should be in a statement form that can be tested in an experiment. There is no way to test evolution - there is no way to prove it.

On the other hand, there is no way to test creation, and no way to prove it. What I believe many Christians (including myself) object to is passing evolution off as a proven scientific fact. How many discoveries that have been lauded to "prove" evolution has been passed off as fakes? More than I can remember...
:iconmediocremind:
yeah...i read that somewhere...poor gun freaks around america have a false "god" now...alas...

they won't be getting their pop guns out anytime soon...

dard rednecks. I hate living with them.
:iconmuxis:
damn right it's a theory. So is theory of gravity. But why do "they" pick on evolution specifically? Perhaps because "they" feel that it threatens creationism?

On the other hand, genesis is a story. I wouldn't even elevate it to a theory.

I don't have a problem with religion - just misappropriation of tax money. And the silliness of this whole issue.
:icongnack:
Um, there are plenty of ways to test evolution. One could (and has) alter specific alleles in order to make the current version of a species appear identical to a version of the species found in fossils millions of years old. This clearly shows that the current version was once the much older, different version.
